Our comprehensive training model is imperative for the success and development of our staff. We offer a new hire training program that offers hands-on training experience learning alongside your fellow peers. Staff also participate in BI’s monthly virtual agency trainings where we offer interactive courses relating to the field of human services, professional and personal development throughout the year.

How We Hire

Experience in the field is beneficial, but on the job training is provided. We encourage individuals with a positive attitude, compassion, empathy, and a strong work ethic to apply.
As a licensed facility, we are required to satisfy a few contingencies for anyone hired at BI. It is required for all staff to complete fingerprinting, which would notify our licensing of any potential barriers. Staff utilize their personal vehicles for business purposes, which requires a clean DMV record. A functional capacity exam is conducted for candidates to be sure that the physical demands of the job are not too strenuous. Becoming Independent covers the costs of all of these items. Occasionally, these contingencies can take longer to complete. The sooner they are completed, the sooner we can get you started.
