Our Secured Document Shredding Services is a social enterprise of Becoming Independent generating revenue that provides critical support to all of BI’s programs.

Individuals served by BI, who express interest in a career in the information destruction industry, are afforded opportunities for vocational training and job placement through our Employment Services program.

Yes! We are happy to serve both commercial and residential locations.

What type of collection bins do you offer?

We offer 65gallon bins and 31.5gallon consoles. Please refer to the section Collection Binson the website for further details. Special sizes may be available upon request.

How much do your services cost?

What goes in a shred bin? What does not?
What goes in:

We accept the following items: Paper, such as blueprints, newspapers, magazines, brochures, mail, and file folders can go into shred bins. No need to remove staples or paper clips.

What does not go in:

The following items do not go into the shred bin: Laminated paper, cardboard, telephone books, hardcoverbooks, plastics (plastic bags and plastic paper sleeves, binder clips, computer discs, DVDs, CDs, VCR tapes, ID badges, driver licenses, gift cards/credit cards, passports, xrays, medical gloves), batteries, hardware (computer parts, trash or hazardous materials), metals, biohazardous material and medical waste, and miscellaneous items (food products, bottles, cans.)
